What is a digital welcome book?

A welcome book (or house manual) is the information a holiday property leaves for its guests: how to get in, the Wi‑Fi password, house rules, how the appliances work, what to do before leaving and what to see nearby. It used to be a laminated folder; today it is a mobile web page.

The digital version has clear advantages: guests get it before they arrive, read it in their own language, it never gets lost or dog-eared, and when any detail changes (a code, opening hours, a restaurant that closes) there is nothing to reprint. With cloudaStay you build it from a template in an afternoon and share it with a link, a QR code or an email.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us most often

What is the difference between a PDF welcome book and a digital guidebook?

A PDF is a closed document: you must resend it whenever it changes and it is hard to read on a phone. A digital guidebook is a mobile-friendly web page, in the guest’s language and always current behind the same link. cloudaStay can also generate a PDF.

When should I send the welcome book to guests?

Ideally a few days before arrival with the booking message, plus a printed QR code at the property in case they need it once there.

Does it need to be in several languages?

It is highly recommended if you host international guests. cloudaStay translates it automatically into up to 9 languages and you review the text before publishing.

How long does it take to make?

With a template, your first guide is ready in one or two hours. The next ones are even faster thanks to reusable blocks.
