Privacy at cloudaStay

cloudaStay is a cloudacat product. This summary explains what data we process and why.

Guests viewing a guide

• No need to create an account or sign in.
• We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. The only things stored on your phone, if you use them, are the check-out list progress and the PIN for private guides.
• We count visits and clicks in aggregate. To tell unique visitors apart we use a digest that changes daily and can't identify anyone; if the browser asks not to be tracked (GPC or DNT), not even that.
• Maps and videos only load if you ask for them: at that point your browser connects to OpenStreetMap, YouTube or Vimeo.

Guests receiving an email

• The property enters your name and email to send you the guide. We keep them for up to 12 months and then anonymise them.
• We don't ask for or store ID cards, passports, health data, bank details or traveller registration data.

People who contact us

• If you write to us through the contact form, we use your name, email and message only to reply to you. We do not use it for advertising or share it with anyone.

Manager clients

• Account data (name, email, role) and guide content. You can export everything at any time from Settings.
• Sensitive actions are logged for security.
